Ruthable Productions

Ruth Baines - bon vivant

Ruthable Productions was established in 1999 to create and produce theatrical works, which explore a co-mingling of both contemporary dance and text based work. These theatrical works are not only to be honest and entertaining but also thought provoking.

The History of the Company

Icy BlueICY BLUE Is it love? Is it passion? Is it obsession? Is it stalking? Join Isabelle on her comedic flight to find her bliss. The creator/producer of RUNNING OUT decided to go back to comedy for 2013 in this one-woman show, an integration of Aerial Dance, physical comedy and monologue.

RUNNING OUTFor 2008 Ruth Baines returned to the Winnipeg Fringe Festival with RUNNING OUT, dueling stories of two women at opposite ends of the fertility scale. One dreams of babies, the other of saving the world. Through dance, laughter and tears can some balance be achieved before time runs out?

TANGLETANGLE, A web of conformity, confusion or just plain consternation this show has it all. This unique and exciting show blends three art forms: dance, aerial dance and theatre and first toured the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit in the summer of 2004. Tangle continues to the Edmonton Fringe and Vancouver Fringe in 2005.

In April of 2000 Ruthable Productions produced the 1st Annual Whine and Cheese Ball at the Cavern in Vancouver. The proceeds from this fundraising extravaganza aided in the second tour Fringe tour of SWF ...obo. Many thanks to all the sponsors, participants and attendees for their participation in this event. Fun, mayhem and frivolity were had by all (it was so much fun that the beer distributor laughed so hard he snorted beer out of his nose!).

Ruthable Productions first project, SWF ...obo was invited to the 1999 Alberta Dance Explosions in Calgary and successfully toured Canadian Fringe Festivals in 1999 and 2000 to critical acclaim.

Ruthable Productions is always looking for other venues for its productions so if you have any suggestions please contact Ruth Baines at:
