The boardroom for the Calgary Airport Authority in their new Airport
Corporate Centre was designed by architects Boucock Craig and Partners, and we provided design services for the A/V system.
The boardroom table seats up to 30 people with
microphones for both teleconferencing and voice reinforcement. The video
presentation system features a 110 inch (diagonal) high contrast rear
projection screen and high brightness video projector that allow displays
to be clearly visable under all room lighting conditions, including
daylight from the windows. There is also a motorized screen which drops
down from the ceiling for use with portable A/V equipment, such as overhead
and slide projectors. The movable lectern includes a 15" SXGA resolution
monitor for the presenter and a wireless touchpanel to control the A/V
system and room lighting. An A/V operator's console near the entrance
provides an additional touchpanel, along with the A/V sources that include
a DVD player, VCR, cassette player and video copy stand. Connection panels
in the boardroom table, at the operator's console and at the lectern
provide connections for both portable computers and other portable A/V
sources. The system includes a wireless mouse for the presenter to control
the presentation computer while moving freely around the room.
